Coating Gage Extends Thickness Range

A new thickness gage for non-destructively measuring polyurea and other coatings on concrete builds on previous versions with added features, according to manufacturer DeFelsko Corp.

The fifth-generation PosiTector 200 Ultrasonic Coating Thickness Gage includes more features, additional measuring ranges, and new models, the company says.

New Features

The latest tool includes a new polyurea probe for measuring thick-film coatings up to 300 mils. According to the company, the new gage can accept all probes for coating thickness, surface profile, environmental and wall thickness.

The fifth-generation PosiTector 200 Ultrasonic Coating Thickness Gage includes more features, measuring ranges and models, the company says.

Advanced models feature WiFi technology and an enhanced graphics mode with screen capture for detailed analysis of the coating system, the company says.
