Shortly after the U.S. election, the American Institute of Architects issued, and then apologized for, a statement in which the organization said its members "stand ready to work with" President-elect Donald Trump on schools, hospitals and infrastructure projects. Was the apology warranted?


No. It was a nonpartisan statement, the like of which would have been issued no matter who won the election.
Other, please comment.
Yes. Some architects have serious qualms about Trump's policy proposals and rhetoric, which they believe directly conflict with AIA's mission and values on topics like climate change and equality.
